Hard to shift, clutch not disengaging. Hi everyone. I just got a gator from a friend. Basically gave it to us and asked us to use it and keep it up because he doesn’t have a place for it at his house. Anyway, it’s nearly impossible to shift when it is idling. You have to shut it off and just hold your foot on the brake and start it in gear.

I brought it to the local JD dealer and was told they have to shave millimeters from each of the 6 clutch plates due to "occasional use."
