Went into labor and delivery and the contractions were consistent every about 3-5 minutes . They did the cervical check and I was 1cm dilated. They told me it’s totally normal to be up to 2cm in the entire 3rd trimester. It wasn’t a concern because the dilation stayed the same and my water didn’t break.Dilation has progressed from last week. I chose to do cervical checks I know it doesn’t necessary indicate when birth is coming but I like to know. Last week at 36 weeks I was 1.5 cm 0% effaced and today at 37 weeks I’m 3 cm and 60% effaced so I do feel that is some progress.
