If the line is there, regardless of intensity, put on a big smile. I got my BFP at 11DPO. It was very faint, so I took every test I had in the house to be sure. I tested again a week later and the test line came up faster (not to mention darker) than the control. A few days makes all the difference! Congrats!

Yes, you can definitely take a pregnancy test at 16dpo and expect to get accurate results.
