Lastly, the fretwork. To be honest, the fretwork was pretty good. The guitar came out of the box with lower than average action, and no fretbuzz anywhere on the neck. Bends were smooth, so the frets were well polished, or at least new enough not to have any oxidation that makes them feel gritty.

Buying a budget guitar can be a bit of a gamble. I, like yourself, was drawn into the idea of an affordable guitar that played like butter. I'd heard of the "Chibson" LP style guitars, Firefly and then of course Harley Benton. But you can't help but ask yourself if it's really worth it.
