The original engine was a stock 4.0L 5 speed trans with well over 100K on it. I will be doing as much documentation and pics as possible, so this build will help others with their swaps. Open up the new engine to see if it's even worth using (piston ring bearings, oil pump). Check for wear on the bottom end. Get a new thermostat ($5) and water pump ($50). Open up the engine, take out all the old gaskets, clean any residue off that the gaskets left. Get a full gasket kit ($110).
