The Model 39 is designed to not hurt it's self when dry fired. However, we are talking about beating on those parts with a hammer. Literally. My worry is that some day, some how, the firing pin stop will wear enough to allow contact with the chamber. If that happens we've got a problem.Jan 28, 2011 · 39AS firing pin removal. As the picture indicates, the outer edge of the stud is just enough to keep the firing pin from being removed.
