Help with Mec 600 JR. I am trying to load 16 ga on a Mec 600 JR. The shot loading is not working as it should. I am using #6 shot, 1 1/8 oz. The charge bar does not slide easily to the right to drop the shot. It has to be forced. Also the shot does not alway drop completly into the hull. When I move the hull the rest of the shot falls.Here's what MEC says about the current 650N model, "The MEC 650N does not resize except as a separate operation." They go on to suggest a Supersizer. I have a pair of older MEC 650's - one 12 ga. one 20 ga. Like the 650N, as hulls rotate thru the stations, they're held in place by a carrier. I was struggling with some six point crimps on new Fiocchi hulls and accidently put one in the last station of the MEC Jr. before I hit it with the six point creaser. I pulled the handle and felt something wrong. MEC customer service was closed by the time i got off work and the website gives 3 groups: pre 82', 82'-85' and 85 to current. pre 82' model # on foil.looking around at MEC 600 jr presses, used, i dont want a worn out press.seem to be made well. and can a 12 ga be changed to say .410 with the die kit? i see them advertised as retrofit capable . may be easier to just have a dif press set up in a dif *****. quite a few around, i can get a used 600 jr for like $55-$75 with extras. once again, thanx for input!MEC Procheck for 600Jr #751E.
