The grind isn't that terrible. I farmed a bunch of keys prior to this season (but didn't sink a huge amount of time into it) and already have 3 of the weapons crafted, and the rest close to craftable. You can get red borders from opening the treasure chest, weapons dropping in dares itself, and rank ups with Xur.

The world loot pool is bloated as it is, same with Xur's weekly potential offerings (and even then that's a poor bandaid fix). Edit: Put the remaining S9-S11 gear (since some of worthy's gear is back already) into weapon type-specific bounties; ie "get 100 kills with a handcannon to be rewarded an optative/jack queen king 3", that sort of thing.Iirc the engrams are the better choice for weekly rotating weps. The grind in dares is so real. I guess I wasn't clear but I meant the gear they just added from the previous seasons. But the grind for the red border weapons is taking forever though. I feel you.
