We installed our system a month ago and have no complaints about the day to day operation, but every 5-7 days we have to reset one of our entry sensors. So far it's been a different sensor every time, although they have all been in the basement.
Entry sensors constantly "not responding" or "open". We have a small 2 bedroom house, all rooms on the first floor. At least 3x a week we get a notification that an entry sensor is either open, or not responding. Resetting the entry sensor usually works temporarily but then it starts up again, usually a different one.I have the newest Simplisafe system (SS3?). So far, the keypad and one of my door sensors, which are used the most often, have periodically given me successful "low battery" warnings due to low battery. But I've had two other window sensors which were set to "silent alert" not alert me - just one day it said they were 'not responding'.Do I need an Entry Sensor for my Smart Lock to work? The entry sensor tells your Lock when the door is open, preventing the Lock from trying to "lock" your door even when it's open.Unplug the base station. Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the device using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Remove one battery for at least 10ā15 seconds before putting it back in. Put the battery cover back on. Plug the base station in and wait a minute or two for a new connection. Arm your system to test that it works properly.
Sensors not responding Hello - We have a home under the recommended square footage for a simplisafe system, but have had issues with the sensors in the basement (Door and Windows) not responding. We have moved the base station frequently and have it in a place where all are connected but it is not in a convenient spot.@Bodoma could be a signal strength issue, or a bad sensor. First step, swap the entry sensor with another one that you know is working properly. Test to see if the issue continues. If it stops, call SS and get the faulty sensor replaced at nc. If it till happens, try moving the base. If still an issue, call SS to troubleshoot further.

Sensors are all on the same floor, same building. Base station has direct line of sight to two of the three sensors, but all three randomly report they are not responding.
