The absolute fastest way I've found to restart an episode is to open up the episode in the smartphone app. Use your finger to swipe it back to the start. Start playing it then stop it. Then reopen the episode in Hulu on the Firestick. Not at all efficient but faster than rewind.
Mines hasn't been keeping track and it re-added a shit ton of movies and shows I watched in the month or so prior. Before I switched over to Max, I had maybe 4 movies on my "continue watching" bar with only the credits to finish. When the switched happened, about 3 dozen movies and shows were added back.
