Slammer is only good as a utility weapon because it will be enhanceable in final shape. People want it as vortex frames go faster than adaptives so using it as a tool is better for shatter or well skating. But since enhanced eager edge boosts the distance it can go, slammer being enhancable is important.

For the outside edge your free leg hip should be slightly raised, and for the inside edge it should be slightly dropped, and for both you want your hips to be facing the direction you're trying to go.
