In September 2023 I booked a hotel in California, USA for November, on Trivago.com and for some reason, even though the process appeared to be 100% through Trivago, they sent my reservation through a "partner" called Algotels.

Total scam. Booked a room through hotelsugogo. They sent a confirmation email with a res number and everything. Arrived at the hotel and they did not have my reservation or a room. They said this same thing happened 6x this week for their property. Contacted customer service and got the run around re: confirmation.
