The battery is now on a maintainer so i will have to resume tomorrow. 1997 vn800A.900 problems. I need to downsize from my C-90 at my age (knees are shot, back spasms etc). Really like the looks and feel of the 900. But one of main reasons not to go Suzuki again is their p*ssy electrical system.

It could be that the meter is off, though. You might want to check the voltage and the connection points with a multimeter to compare.
