Prodigys in my area have been going for 1350, which is at least 8-900 cheaper than the cheapest staccato. My suggestion is if you won't die from spending the extra $, then save up for a staccato. Prodigy is a lot smoother and softer shooting. The C2 and CS are aluminum lightweight guns. (I haven't tried any other Staccato so I can't comment on the other models) In my opinion, for an apples to apples comparison, you'd have to run at least a Staccato P (Steel Frame option) against a Prodigy.

Fit is nicer, finish is significantly nicer, and parts feel more solid. Everyone who has shot the 2 side by side (me included) believe the prodigy actually shoots nicer/softer.
