It was a light colored[almost yellow] wood. They both had small short legs. The orginal turntable had been removed and a Realistic Lab 36 installed. The system was in use once last year but has not been powered up or used since. The speaker components are known good. Now there are some suttle turntable changes though the years, and that is what I normally use to date.
