Almost 3 hours, an overture, intermission, musical numbers, huge stunts and props, locations, etc. The budget was the equivalent of $100MM today which is absurd for a comedy in the 60's. Yeah, poor Greta Gerwig. Happy 80th Birthday to Martin Scorsese. Really appreciate that Marty at age 80 is still making bracing, energetic, meaningful films. Some of his output in the last couple decades (Silence especially) is among my favorite of his career and really flies in the face of Tarantino's "directors fall off when they get old" philosophy. 39K subscribers in the blankies community.
