POINCIANA, Fla. - Polk County detectives are investigating the death of 60-year-old man after a motorcycle crash in Poinciana. Officials said the fatal crash occurred Wednesday evening on Solivita Boulevard near Bell Tower Crossing. The motorcyclist, Mark Peltier, was taken to Poinciana Medical Center where he passed away.The Polk County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the single vehicle crash by an Apple iPhone that belonged to one of the suspects. The phone detected the crash, and auto-reported it at around 2:35 am. PCSO deputies and Polk County Fire Rescue responded to the crash scene on Lake Hatchineha Road (County Road 542) near Firetower Road, in Poinciana.Paramedics have estimated that at least 35 people were injured after a truck ploughed into Monday morning traffic and caused an accident involving 46 vehicles on the M41 in Umhlanga, Durban.
