If you can save dragon bone for armor crafting, definitely do. I have one staff crafted with dragon bone and another crafted with nevarrite. The difference is 4 dps, barely significant. I've found that the best way to increase dps is using runes. I have suberb dragon slaying rune on my staves and it increases dps by ~80.
