I use Amitiza and Miralax and I take magnesium citrate 500 mg every morning. Magnesium deficiency is a rampant problem, so I strongly suggest you try it. If you take calcium, take about 400 mg at night and do not take them together at the same time. You are also likely deficient in vitamin D. I take 2000 IU at night.
