Here is a rack of Belgian FALs with combo devices with wrench flats in different positions.. Yes, FN produced both with the high and low flats. But none of the other FN licensed manufactureres produced it with the high flats, so the high position can be used for identification. If they are low, will have to verify by millmarks if present.
