Gmc acadia shakes when accelerating.
Just bought 2012 gmc acadia with117k on it. Mint cobdition cosmetically and seemed to drive fine untill yesterday. It seems when im doing about 40 mph or 60 mph the rpms drop betweem 1700 and 2100 and i get the shudder/buck. If i let of gas or accelerate it powers through but when in steady speeds in traffic it gives those issues.

Experiencing a constant vibration at approximately 1600-1700 RPM in any gear at steady speed. Dealer service tech has been able to duplicate the problem on my 2017 Denali as well as other new Acadias in the dealer's inventory. The vibration seems to be engine related. My independent mechanic said there was a Tech Bulletin that said change the fluid. $64 later and a fluid change and the problem was solved.

Once you pass through those speeds the shudder stops. Those speeds coincide with the new GM transmission calibration: From 2 to 3rd gear at 20 MPH and from 4 to 5th gear at 43 MPH.

I have transmission vibration/shudder when the transmission shifts to a higher gear and RPM drops to 1500. This is happening mostly when going uphill. I need to keep pressing the accelerator and rising the RPM to stop this vibration/shudder. Generally, the GMC Acadia transmission filter requires a replacement every 30,000 to 50,000 miles, costing around $30. Now that you have treated your Acadia to a new gasket and filters reattach the transmission pan, and lower the vehicle by removing the jack stands. Pop the hood - it's time to replace the ATF you drained with a brand-new one.
