These trucks have anywhere from 3 to 5 actuators for the AC. I happened to change the wrong one (over the hump behind the console to the passenger side). It ended up being the one under the dash behind the passenger airbag. one of the gears inside of it was cracked causing it to be loose and shake the shaft causing the clicking noise.I started to try and isolate the problem.
