Even if the decayed weapon has the durability buff, you are better off getting that same buff on the pristine weapons. The only thing I am not sure about are the Zonai weapons. Since they are not decayed technically. But I always figured they would have similar durability as the Ancient Weapons in BoTW.

I totally broke the master sword while farming wild guardians yesterday. The sword was glowing blue, I didn't hit any rock or tree and it sure broke.
