As stated by Paleo, crank up the food level on the Achatina, since you have to leave them on wander to generate paste, they will chew through food pretty fast. We have 4 snails and have their food levels up to at least 3,000 apiece, I feed them about once every 3 days, though they could go at least 7-10 days before beginning to starve.
