Professor Ottea is a phenomenal teacher, his classes can be a little boring but he explains things in far greater detail in his office hours. Honestly, she is a great professor. She is very passionate, eccentric, and cares about her students. But man is she one of the harshest graders I've ever had at LSU. Prepare to have 1-2 assignments a week for this course, and they'll take about 1-3 hours a piece. She will prepare you for your honors thesis process. Just be ready for a lot of work. Best physics professor at LSU. This is my 3rd time taking physics and he is bar far the best professor I've had. Actually goes through problems, doesnt criticize when asking question, and is willing to help you understand the material. Other professors have made me feel horrible about myself but this guy is top notch. His examples are amazing.
Dr. Davilla is very kind and understanding. He tries his best to address any concerns. He's a nice professor, and you're graded by 6 quizzes (3 regular in-class and 3 take-home) and 4 exams (including the final). There's 1 homework due per week that takes around 45 minutes if you lock in. About 4 quizzes as well which are only 5-10 questions but can hurt your grade quite a lot. Extra credit helps a lot too. Highly recommend Grunewald's Russian history class. She is fun and cares about her students.
