The Calculus course at WGU is textbook/activity based similar to a lot of online learning. Having done straighter line for other courses I’d say their textbooks are better than the videos. The biggest advantage to straighter line for Calculus is that your grade is divided into multiple assignments, a mid term and a final exam. The reason everyone talks about Straighterline is because you can use a CAS calculator which makes it a lot easier to get through. If you can understand the concept from the stated problem just plug it into your calculator and you're 90% there. I took the study.com calculus and the quizzes took me forever to get through.

None of those have assignments to be graded and Sophia is falling behind on grading them. Take CS101 and the Network class at Straighterline since Sophia does not have that. Do the leadership thing at WGU. Do the communications thing at WGU. That’s my take. I only have experience with Sophia.

My work is also mostly picking up the tab for school, so monetarily it's somewhat of a wash. So if you need to meet the precalc requirement, you can either take Precalc at SL, then Calculus at WGU, or just take Calculus at SL. This meets the requirement and transfer the course.
