Joebklyn, I own two 22 LR conversion kits for 1911s. One is a Colt Ace that has a steel slide and a 2-piece barrel. This is a very expensive kit that is way over rated. I have a dedicated lower for it that works OK for about 40 rounds then you have to field strip it and clean the 2-piece barrel. I also have a Kimber that works much better.
