Then Push the slide forward while dry firing it a number of times. This should work. Also do the same procedure with a mag in. Keep trying this and it should release. This is a common issue. The Ruger Security 9 has lots of specs similar to the Glock 19, but at half the price. It’s almost the same size, has the same 15+1 capacity, and similar grip angle. My 11th round jammed while cycling into the chamber. I cant get it to clear. I dropped the mag and when I pull the slide back the entire barrel comes back with the slide. I got the take down pin out but same thing, barrel comes back with slide and will not go all the way forward (slide is jammed about a 1/4" to the rear).Once you remove the innards you can readjust/orient your safety button. 1. As far as I know they don’t exist yet. Ruger is always slow to get aftermarket love unless it’s the PC Carbine or 10/22. If anyone offered a threaded barrel for the Security 9, it would probably run close to $200. Add in at least another $100 for new sights too. Now you can see why the aftermarket isn't embracing this idea.

Feb 14, 2014 · The issue is, basically, if I hand cycle the slide and ease it forward, the slide will get stuck about 1/8" out of battery. I then can push the slide forward the rest of the way.
