Does anyone know where I can get the diagrams for correct placement of 454SS front fender emblems for a 70 Chevelle SS 454, and, the correct Super Sport emblem placement for rear quarter panels for a 67 Chevelle SS. Of course the one in mine was NLA but a local GM steering column guy had the part I needed for cheap. From what I have seen, a lot of the '66/'67 stuff is similar and interchanges. SS has rear lower control arm frame supports – Malibu does not. SS lower steering column shaft has bolt on steering coupler flange – Malibu’s are pressed on. SS uses different engine mount brackets that bolt to frame. SS has larger diameter front sway bar. SS rear end will be 12 bolt – Malibu used 10 bolt.and with the brake drums in place, the total width is 60.00 inches. Axle tube flange-to-flange is 54.25 inches. * 1968-72 Chevelle rear end housings measure 58.5 inches from flange to flange, and with the brake drums in place, the total width is 62.5 inches. (Note: Other sources put the total width at 61.125" to 61.25".)

The SS strips are chromed plated plastic. The Malibu versions are two pieces, an aluminum bezel with a thin steel insert with a woodgrain applique.

The hood louvers are different in the two years. The '66 has a "wind splitter" on the hood (more chrome) and the '67 does not.
