I farmed Crystal imps for a day or so, grew Crystal trees for a week which helped offset some of the cost for shards.I used bowfa for a few months before spooning a staff at ToA and with hundreds of zulrah kills, nex kills, and ToAs I only managed to use 20k charges. Plus you need to maintain armour charges anyways and spending 2m on a teleport Crystal for 15k charges is a drop in the bucket for how much gp can be made with 15k charges.
