They will be ATF approved too! • Steve will also build ATF compliant rifles in various guises from stock PE-57 in 7.5 and 7.62 mm to custom 'Shorty' or 'Commando' rifles, etc.

That makes it a 4 groove RH 1 in 12 twist rate which is the 'ideal' twist rate for rifles using the .308 Winchester round. Works for me.Just on a whim, I measured a dozen HK barrel pins. Most were 5mm on the nose, one was 5.02mm and one was 4.98mm.
