I used Valvoline Durablend synthetic 80w-90w gear oil in my 97 1100c Shadow Spirit. It's typical for the final drive fluid to be grey/black, as it has molybedenum added to it at assembly. As stated above the pump mechanical seal has failed if antifreeze is leaking from the weep hole. Replace the Pump as an assembly, O-Ring, and the gasket. put 4.1 ounces of the final drive oil back in through the fill hole (which is that "weird" bolt on the right side of the case as you're facing it). honda says to roll the bike forward while you're doing it. too much of a PITA, just get the 4.1 in there. put a litte oil on the o-ring on the fill hole bolt, and put it back on. torque is 9 ft-lbs.
