Darkmoon isn't great. You'll be be genuinely better off damage wise with the banished knight greatsword infused with magic, and using a good damaging weapon art on it. That's the biggest problem with elden ring at the moment is just R1's don't do good damage. Hell, get a noble side sword or a straight sword and use it with magic infusion.

WA takes forever to cast and uneven terrain can make beam miss even at point … You could buff it and one shot anyone in pvp no matter their vigor. The beam is purely magic damage and scales with int. The only melee physical damage of the sword scales with dex and strength. I'd say strength if you want to use big damage chonky weapons like the jaw in addition to the Greatsword, and dex if you use mainly spells. The difference is minimum damage wise. Should definitely go dex for cast speed.

It’s pretty good with high intelligence, but moonveil and deaths poker and generally better for similar builds. It’s the weapon that enabled me to kill the elden beast. I had a shield + hoarfrost stomp sword for the whole game. Radagon and the beast just seemed impossible. That weapon really helpede.
