Dec 3, 2002 · I also add a good dose of Sta-Bil and a shot of Sea Foam to the pre-mix in a 1 gallon jug. Ice-Blue oil is cheep but burns very clean, I use it a lot. About 99.9% of all ice auger problems are from crappy untreated gas and a gummed up carb. This will keep you running like a champ.
My Jiffy ice auger is leaking gas out the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold was wondering if anybody had any experience with this. I'm thinking it has something to do with the valves. It doesn't leak when Iam poping holes, it just leaks when its sitting on the ice after i use it. Any help with this would be greatly apprieciated. Older Jiffy model 30 fuel issue. I recently bought an older model 30 Jiffy (1982) 9 inch cut auger. The thing will start up and run great but, but while cutting it will cut thru 6 or 7 inches of ice and then just run out of fuel, I can let off the throttle and let it idle for a bit and then start cutting again only to have it die out again after it cuts a few inches.Product Description. There should be two screws one for throttle and the other is fuel / air mixture. you need to adjust the fuel/air mixture. The best is to get it running and adjust it slowly. Count the1/4 turns just incase it stalls you can turn it back to before it stalled. Also make sure the fuel mixture is exact it does make a difference. It was a universal 100:1 mix.It worked great most of the time but on warmer spring days after drilling several holes the engine would bog out under load and work at less than half the speed.Both required new fuel line from the gas tank to the carb. 9 out of 10 times with a lean motor the carb is the need to clean and do a rebuild.
