Its impossible to say but yes they can get lighter as pregnancy progresses. I've had lines get lighter ended in chemical and this time around my lines got lighter around 8 weeks and I'm currently 22 weeks. Try diluting it in some water with a smaller amount of urine so it's not so concentrated.

Like others have said, it’s the hook effect. The test is looking for those little things of hcg but you have SO much it overwhelms the test so your line is lighter. When you diluted it the test was able to “see” the hcg better.
