Nothing wrong with the prodigy, especially if you’re gonna build it and change everything. The frame, slide, and barrel are all solid. Personally it shoots better than the staccato P. I have a 5in, stock except the safety, slide release, added Dawson magwell. 1500 rounds, only a few issues the first two mags then flawless.

The Staccato is a 2011 (frame + grip module) while the Wilson is a 1911 (frame/grip frame + grip panels), but both double-stack 9mm handguns. The grip on the Staccato is noticeably larger, fatter than the EDC. The Staccato is super reliable, a flat shooter, and one of my more accurate shooters (along with the EDC).

IMO (having owned a P DUO and picked up a Prodigy this morning) the Staccato has better build quality. The frame and slide finish is superior, the slide to rail fitment is slightly better (slide racks more smoothly on the Staccato) and the Staccato trigger is slightly crisper and lighter.
