Yuzu has a flatpak that's available directly to the from the "app store" that comes default with the flavor of Linux they're using. So it's literally just search and click install. I belive it also got an update specifically for the steam deck recently.

The main problem is not Steam Deck's lack of power. The Switch is specifically constructed. The very details in the Firmware, OS etc the Switch use, are closed source. So, it is very hard to make a perfect emulator. So, even with the best Computer Hadrware, there are possibilities, that some Switch games will lag.Not sure if it was SteamOS or Yuzu update that fixed it. I did not test all combinations but there definitely was a time where disabling SMT increased performance in Yuzu by a mile.
