If you have the rear entertainment if you turn the rear on the speakers will go off so i does not interfere with using the headphones. Check the rear entertainment to ensure it is turned off. 2014 Silverado Dash Speakers. Here are a couple pictures of how to access the dash speakers. It requires you to remove the pillar covers and then the trim piece that covers both speakers and the vent access are removable. The metal diameter of the speaker is about 3". Hope this helps out someone wanting to replace these.

The rear speakers are just for fill. They don't really add much for the sound quality. The front door and dash speakers do the brunt of the work.
