It would do it all by itself and it sounded like it was going to explode! When it first happened the check engine light came on so I close so I drove right to the dealership and showed the Service Manager.

They first told me that it needed a software update, which obviously did not fix the problem. Now, the transmission is being replaced.It will get fixed most likely. It sucks. But there have been people on this forum that had it worse than you. They ordered a car and it didn't show up for 10 months. And then they had to buy one off the lot. And since the battery size on the WL 4xe is only 17kWh and not the mentioned 33.7kWh, you can't drive 56 miles on a single charge. BTW, the 33.7kWh is not a random value, either.
Trying/waiting to order a Grand Cherokee 4XE. Reading all the charging issues I'm wondering now if I'm better off waiting for some to get on the road so the bugs can be figured out, and hopefully corrected on the assembly lines, or if these charging and repair problems are small percentage of the Wrangler 4XE that have gone into service.
