Tivo remote not working with new batteries.
Followed the steps in the TiVo support article to no avail either. This is very strange. I even tried my backup, brand new TiVo remote and it didn't work. I can't even control my TiVo from my universal television remote like I normally can. However, the good news is that the TiVo still appears to be recording shows perfectly fine.
1.The tivo will respond only if i'm no more than 2 inches away and directly in front of the sensor. 2. If i block the right side of the front panel from ambient light, not covering the sensor, the tivo responds from any distance like it did before.
