Nov 24, 2010 · My 2008 Honda CRV has a noticeable squealing noise coming from the engine compartment when the engine shifts down suddenly. An example would be when I am driving at highway speeds and a large incline begins and the car shifts down. The squealing noise may or may not occur but it also feels as though the car is loosing some power when this occurs as though a belt is slipping but it does not ... I am having an issue with the CRV seat squeaking and becoming very annoying when driving. You can hear it even with the radio is on at a medium volume level. Every little bump or turn and you would hear it. I took it to the service center and they say the driver seat frame is bad and need to replace it for the squeaking to go away.I have a 2021 CRV with 18,500 miles. Last winter (about 16,000 miles) it makes a horrible groaning noise when I start it and back out of the garage. The service manager at the dealer said it had to do with cold Chicago winters. It's summer and 80 degrees. Same noise!! It stops when i finally go forward, but it doing it frequently now. Can anyone tell what this noise is? MK6 GTI.
